For Easter we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Birchard's.
We had a wonderful dinner of the aforementioned Sarmale.
(how'd I do on that?!)
-A game of Crokinole-
(our Grandpa played on this same board with his Grandpa)
The annual egg-breaking contest
Melody broke 17 eggs in a row to capture the Grandma Necefer memorial award.
There was an Easter egg hunt in which Danielle got a bunch of notes instead of candy.
"Why did I get all these confusing eggs with notes in them?"
Turns out, at the end of the trail of clues there was a hope chest waiting for her!
Many people had contributed things to help start her off!
Grandpa had refinished the hope chest during the last couple months.
The hope chest was made by Danielle's Great-Great-Great Grandpa in 1937.
This is only the third time in Danielle's life that she has been surprised!
Happy Hope Chest Day!
