An enlightening experience....

While Dad and I were at the state convention, the top
element burned out on our stove.

Here it is!

The fire department got called anyway!
You know it's a little out of hand when we know the
firemen on a first-name basis!

We thank the Lord for his protection, that nobody was hurt and there was no serious property damage!

And Mom gets a new stove out of the deal!

Bible Bee update

The local Bible Bee was held today.

We will not know the results until sometime Wednesday!
Check for results at www.biblebee.org

We have no pictures as of yet, but as soon as I get some pics from some other people, I will post them.

Everyone had a great time at the competition and did very well!

Republican State Convention 2010

Dad and I had a great time at the MI Republican State Convention!

Both of us were promoted to primary delegates. I was promoted in the first round and Dad was called upon during the second round to vote in a runoff for Secretary of State.

It was a great experience and was really worth our time.

Here are the results of contested voting:

Lieutenant Governor: Brian Calley
Attorney General: Bill Schuette
Secretary of State: Ruth Johnson
MSU Trustee: Mitch Lyons

We waited in line outside the Breslin Center for over two hours.

Dad and I

There were several thousand people in attendance,
2,062 of which were delegates.

Me with the Republican nominee for
Lieutenant Governor of Michigan, Brian Calley

Representative Calley giving his acceptance speech

Fellow delegates Pat and Dan

Mike and I, the two youngest precinct delegates
from Macomb County

The leftover campaign literature at the
end of the day!

We had a great time and hope y'all vote Republican in the upcoming election!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Ontario Fred and his rig

We were at Grandma and Grandpa B's house the other day,
and "Ontario Fred" stopped by on his way to the Dream Cruise.

He travels the country pulling this little trailer that he made.
Check out the propane-powered stove and fridge!

Archery practice

We did some shooting today with Grandpa M and
our neighbor, Aiden.

It's always fun looking for arrows!
