Nathaniel and Sara June's wedding..

Today we went to the wedding of Nathaniel and Sara June
at our church. Here are a couple of pics from the celebration.

The guest book attendants!

The happy couple!

For the departure, instead of blowing bubbles,
we had sparklers, something we've never seen done before!

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!

Coming through the smoke!

It was great to see a new Christian family being started!

"An excellent wife, who can find?
For her worth is far above jewels.

The heart of her husband trusts in her,
And he will have no lack of gain."

Proverbs 31:10,11

The Penny.....

We just watched this great movie that we received for Christmas.

It is called "The Penny."

“The Penny” is a drama/thriller that follows a series of seemingly
insignificant events in a number of people’s lives.
Hidden amidst their “bigger” problems, these disconnected pieces of their lives
go unnoticed until they begin to fit together in a totally unexpected way.
Suddenly these strangers are thrust together by what some would call
luck, chance, fate, coincidence, or even destiny.
But is it something even bigger than that?

This is great movie on the providence of God in our everyday lives.

The Mieczkowski Family

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

Here are a couple verses to contemplate on Christmas Day:

"She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus,
for he will save his people from their sin."

"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased."

Christmas Eve...

Every Christmas Eve we go to our grandparents' house on
our mom's side with our cousins.

We always have a great time!

The two cousins!

What's in the stocking?

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!'

Our traditional family picture!

There is a house off of 12 mile between Crooks and Main in Royal Oak that
has an astounding number of Christmas lights in their yard.

We make it a tradition each year to stop by and admire the lights!
They are fondly known by us and our cousins as "The Big Lights."

Just one angle of:

Two additional cousins!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Eve, and have a
joyous and wonderful celebration of the Savior's birth tomorrow!

Our Nativity Scene...

Just thought I would squeeze in a couple of pics of our Nativity Scene.

Grandpa B would put up these very same figures when Lorie's family
was living in Detroit back in the 70's.

During this Christmas season, let us keep in mind the real

Visit with the Lenzes

Yesterday we had Mom's piano teacher from college
and her husband over for dinner.

We have this tradition of singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas"
with people that come over during the Christmas season.
Mom has a set of cups, with one of the 12 days on each one.

Mr. Lenz had the fifth day - 5 golden rings!

Our musical menu!

We put on a little concert

Mom and Mrs. Lenz.
We are grateful to the Lord for the time and instruction Mrs. Lenz
gave Mom during her college years!
