A little Tiger Talk....

As anyone who is acquainted with our family knows,
we are enthusiastic Detroit Tigers fans.

The guys all download bunches of game highlights, so
(even though as a rule I dislike homemade sports fan videos!)
I thought I'd put a little vid together of the best clips,
kind of highlighting some moments from this year's "push to the playoffs."

This video is dedicated to my good friend and
 avid Tigers fan, Kendall Wingrove.

Enjoy, and GO TIGERS!!!

Remembering 9/11

Earlier this week Jon had the great opportunity to go and hear
Patrick Anderson, a survivor of 9/11, tell his story.

Jon, Patrick Anderson, and Nathan Kissling

Mr. Anderson is President and CEO of the Anderson Economic Group
and was in New York City on September 11th, 2001 for an economic conference
at the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel, located between the Twin Towers.

His story is an amazing one, and clearly shows God's providence throughout.

He is also the Co-Founder of Michigan Remembers, a foundation dedicated
to commemorating Michiganders that died in the 9/11 attacks.

As we remember the events that took place on this day 10 years ago today,
the following verse is a comfort and an inspiration:

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."
Psalm 20:7

This is the last post of pictures from our time

Spending time with cousins...

The best thing on a hot day - ICE CREAM!!!!!!

We went to see 30 Mile Point Lighthouse, which is about
20 miles east of our cottage.
The reason it is called "30 Mile Point" is that all distances
were measured from the Niagara River.

30 Mile Point Lighthouse

The view from the top was AMAZING!!!

We have had a wonderful time of rest and relaxation,
but can't wait to get home and see what the rest of the year holds!

The six teenagers....

Mom wanted to take this picture of her 6 teenagers.
This will only happen one other time in our family's existence!
