Bible Bee Concert 2012 - WITH VIDEO!

Sorry this post is a little bit late - with preparing for the Bible Bee Nationals
and such, this post and the video production/editing got delayed substantially!

Anyways, the Bible Bee Concert went great!
We had a wonderful response, and had around 175 folks in attendance.

Family introductions

Anna played a beautiful harp solo - listen below :)

We did our traditional family instrumental group number at the end :)

Hope you enjoyed the vids!

Christmas Tree!!

As we do every year, we got our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving!
We cut it at Mutch's Hidden Pines Tree Farm in Lapeer.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Which one should we choose?

"This is it!"

"This one's my size!"

Do we have to take this one?

The finished tree!

As this CHRISTmas season begins, let us all be sure to remember
the real meaning of Christmas!!!

Visit with the Palazzolos

After the Bible Bee, we went down to visit our dear friends
the Palazzolos in Alabama. The Alessio family came down as well!

Endless games of Dutch Blitz

Rebecca and Joshua

Playing "Kingdoms"

A traveling music group? Just about!!

The orchestra bunch...

Food and fellowship go nicely together :)

"Quick!! An LCD screen!! We all must see!!!"

The girls made some Christmas ornaments

Three families - 28 people! (rollover)
Our time of fellowship was greatly enjoyed by all,
and we will treasure the memories that we made together.

Bible Bee Day 3

Saturday was an amazing day to wrap up the 2012 Bible Bee Nationals!

The view from the conference center of the Smoky Mountains

The Senior Finalists (Lucy Alessio on the far left)

Lucy placed 4th!

Congrats to all the finalists!!!

"You did a great job, Lucy!!"

Probably the most amazing part of the Bible Bee is the spirit of
unity among the contestants and the families.

After the competition is over, there is always a wrap-up gathering for
everyone in attendance to eat and fellowship with one another!
It is truly one of the highlights of the Bible Bee Nationals...

Many little friends

Back at the hotel is where you can unwind and really relax...

Our family
Well, that's all for the 2012 Bible Bee Nationals competition!!!
We had a wonderful time, and commend all the contestants for
a job well done!

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course,
I have kept the faith;"

Bible Bee - Day 2

The Semi-Final rounds for all three age divisions were held today!

Three friends in the Semi Finals!!!

The 15 Senior Semi-Finalists

"I think she got it right!"

Melody did a great job!

Unfortunately, Melody did not make the cut to proceed on to the finals,
but our dear friend Lucy Alessio is one of the 5 finalists!! Congrats Lucy!!!

The Senior Finalists!!

One of our favorite things to do at the Bible Bee is
fellowshipping with like-minded families, many times over a meal!

Try fitting 24 people in 2 hotel rooms!!!

One big ice cream cone!!!

Many games and activities for the whole family!!

Again, if you are interested in watching the Final Rounds tomorrow,
you can find more information here.

The end of the day...

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who
does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."

2 Timothy 2:15
