Anna's New Harp!

Anna bought this beautiful lever harp recently!

The Lord provided the funds in ways we couldn't imagine.

Our first snow...

...and a boiler update :)

Here are some views around the house.

Our first snow of the year was last night!

First snow at our new house!

The boiler has been keeping us all nice and toasty!

A small portion of our wood :)

A few feathery friends at our feeder...

"Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."

New Outdoor Wood Furnace!

Ever since we moved to our new house in Grand Blanc, we have
been planning to get an outdoor wood-fired boiler for primary heating source.

Well, we have finally had one put in!

It is made by Heiss Heaters, a company based out of Grand Rapids.

Here are some pics of the installation prep:

Getting forms ready for the pad

We used 40 bags of cement

We dug a trench from the cement pad to the house for the water line

We love the Ditch Witch!

Everybody pull!

We also have been cutting and stacking many cords of wood for the heater :)
We have around 10 cords of wood currently...

Cutting wood in the back forty....

Our work truck really has come in handy

The lumberjacks - with a very, very small portion of  our firewood :)

The installation:

Laying the pipe in the trench

The boiler weighs 7,500 lbs.

"How big can we go?"

Can you see us? Between stacks of firewood?!?

We are thankful that the Lord provided the resources for this money-saving
furnace, which will enable us to be better stewards of what we have been given.

Emma Sightings!

We had cousins on our Dad's side come over to visit today!

Our little cousin Emma is really cute and photogenic!

Whoever had the camera must have caught a "shooting bug" somewhere :)

Emma playing the piano - she seems like a natural!

Like mother, like daughter
