A close call...

Many of you have probably heard about the tornados that were
in Genesee County over the last couple of days.

We weren't even aware that a confirmed tornado had been spotted in Grand Blanc
until we got a call from some friends saying, "Can we come to your basement?"

Time for some unexpected fellowship!!

Chillin' in the basement :)

One of the biggest tornados, rated at F-2, took out a house across from
Goodrich High School, about 3 miles away from our house in Grand Blanc.

We literally drive past this place every other day...

Nothing but the staircase remains - thankfully, no one was injured.

The house to the right wasn't really damaged besides the windows.
Dad actually used to work at Chrysler with the guy who lives there...

Psalm 135:7 states the power of God in nature:

"He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth,
who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind
from his storehouses."

We are thankful for the safety the Lord provided.

An abundance....

... of milk!

All the sour cream, yogurt and cottage cheese containers
are full of yogurt!

We are thankful for the Lord's abundant provision!

Gardening in years gone by....

A Blast from the Past!

Gardening has been a part of our family culture for quite a
few years now. Of course, the dynamic has changed somewhat
as the older ones are busier and the younger ones are being
incorporated into the gardening team.

In years gone by, the older ones were the younger ones, and
the entire garden team was comprised of we oldest ones, with
Dad overseeing!

Anna's Dearborn Symphony performance

This post is overdue, but we now present the long-awaited pictures
from Anna's performance with the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra!

Both sets of our wonderful grandparents! Anna was blessed
to have many family and friends in attendance at the concert.

with Maestro Kypros Markou

Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright. Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings! Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts. For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. Psalm 33:1-4

Toothless Wonder x 3!

We set a new record in the Mieczkowski family today-
three different children lost teeth on the same day!

Rebecca's tooth loss comes with a particularly memorable story -
she accidentally ran in front of a sibling while said sibling was
swinging, and when the foot came in contact with the tooth,
the foot won...

Thankfully, it was due to come out anyway!

We recently had a 20-yard load of woodchips delivered as part
of our new gardening process.

The truck arrives...

Thankfully, there's enough room to turn around in the "parking lot!"

Backing down....

....with a large audience watching

Having fun with the new woodchip mountain!

Ready, Set,

That is one serious woodchip

The new playground?

The woodchip-hauling team takes a load to the garden

We are so grateful for the many ways that God is providing
as we work on the garden!
