Barn 2013 post #2 - "The Water Post"

Having fun in the Lake is one of the highlights of our time at the Barn!

It's a giant eel!!!!

We had several families that we know through the Bible Bee
out for a day of fun and fellowship!

20 kids and six adults!

Everybody jump!

We love going for rides in Cousin Paul's  boat!

While we were out for a spin, we discovered...something...
Check out the vid below about motors, boats, and water :)

Kayaking is another fun activity we enjoy while at the Lake.
Our cousins kindly let us use their kayaks!

Jon, Joe, and Caleb went on a little excursion up Johnson's Creek
(dumps into the Lake about 1/2 mile from the Barn)
named for Sir William Johnson, whose army camped
along the banks of the creek on their way to besiege Fort Niagara in 1759.

Watching sunsets from kayaks is incredible!

Who can get there first??

Sunset sightings

We love the Lake, and are grateful to God for His provision
and beautiful creation.

"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?"
Psalm 8:3-4

Up next, a post devoted entirely to the infamous Lakeside Glass Store....

Check back soon!
