Christmas Eve 2013

We always spend Christmas Eve at Mom's parents' house.
Dad was not able to come because our power was still out :(

The food is always delicious - steak and sausage pie, ham,
Christmas potatoes, green bean casserole, jello

Lots of cookies for lots of people!

The great room can get very messy!

Julia received a Bible case

Gideon kept guard of the Holiday Symphonium

Anna received a hope chest that belonged to Mom's grandmother.
Anna was very surprised!

Unlocking with the key...

Hope chests are very helpful when traveling ;)

For many years, it has been a tradition
for us to go to the "Big Lights" in Royal Oak.
After 35 years, this is the last year the Unger family
will set out the display. See the article in the Detroit News here.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son;
and she wrapped Him in cloths,
and laid Him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn.

  1. Oh Anna, I love your new hope chest! It's so beautiful!
Glad you all had a wonderful Christmas Eve :). The lights look spectacular - too bad it's their last year!
Blessings and a Happy New Year to you all,
