It has snowed!!!!

Close to 16" in 36 hours (lots more than we normally get in southern Michigan :)

Our first plowing Sunday morning

We plowed 6" Sunday morning, 6" Sunday evening, and around 4" Monday morning.

We are so grateful for our truck!!

The timing couldn't have been more perfect to put the sled the boys
acquired over the summer through its paces!

1992 Polaris Indy 500 Special

Ready for some snow fun!!

Even Dad and Mom took a spin!

rollover :)

The huge piles of snow made a perfect takeoff point for saucers

Julia loves the little sled ('72 Ski-doo)

Tubing behind the big sled!

Caleb gets some air :)

We put together a little vid of "snow fun" clips as well.

Enjoy!

  1. One of Mom's favorite hymns is "Great is Thy Faithfulness."
  2. Here are the words to the second verse.
    1. Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
  • “Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!“
      Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!

  1. Whoa. That looks uber-fun! :) No snow to grace our ground, though the thirty degree weather is a nice change! :)
    (And lovely hymn, too!)

  2. Both Arthur and I loved the video clips! If you ever come up this way the Polaris factory is about 20 miles from us and we know lots of people that work there. Artic Cat is about two hours away. I remember us having a Ski Doo just like yours as a kid so watching you all brought back lots of memories on that old thing. I have to admit though, I've never seen a tree fly back in the house :)

    1. Thanks! The tree flying back into the house reminds me (Lorie) of when the teacher would play the movie backwards for fun! That was always hilarious! I guess with homeschooling we have to rely on the wonders of digital!! God bless you all in MN!
