What to do when things are driving you batty!

We have had a big problem of bats in our attic ever since we moved to our new house.
The first summer we were here two were even in the kitchen one night:(
Since our siding is log face, there are a ton of nooks and crannies where *things* can get inside :)

We finally caved in and rented a 50' towable boom lift to seal everything up!

"Let the work begin!"

Caulking the third story

Entertainment during dinner!

Caleb sealing up the main bat entrance

Working on the main roof eaves

We went through 16 tubes of caulk

After the work was done, it was time for rides!

Pretty cool to be able to see all of our 1/4 mile driveway at once!

A rooftop view :)

The barn and our trails

Here's a little vid and pan around at the top of the boom :)

We were glad to have been able to close up all those spaces!
It was really driving us batty!!!

  1. Where's OLSHA when you need them?
Now, are you ready for a good insulation job?
Remember you need to use the "good stuff".
    Not that pink stuff.
