The AMAZING Spirograph

Recently our grandma got one of these AMAZING spirographs. Mary found one that we had & so we started designing. Here are a few samples:
Mary started experimenting with it, then I liked it a lot so I did a few! It’s perfect!
Maybe someday you will get one too!

Recipe for the day:
Bakin’ with Bacon
Bacon Egg Cups

Makes 12 cups
12 slices bacon
8 eggs
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whip the eggs, salt, pepper and cheese with a fork. Spray non stick spray in 12 muffin tins. Wrap each piece of bacon inside the sides of each muffin cup.
Fill each bacon lined muffin cup 3/4 of the way with the egg mixture.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the egg cups are golden brown and don’t jiggle. Use a knife to scoop them out of the tins. Serve immediately.

Our tent is navy blue and yellow and the bottom is a tarp. We have two cots and a cotton mattress underneath them. We have three chairs and a desk. Here is our schedule:

The Hidden Meaning of PIG:

They had a blast while we older kids were at SSI, but we are all glad to be back together again!

Recipe for the day:
Chocolate Oatmeal Chippers (a family favorite)

1 ½ c. all-purpose flour
½ c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
2 sticks of soft butter
1 c. firm packed brown sugar
½ c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 11 oz. (2 c.) milk ch. morsels
1 ¾ c oats uncooked

Oven - 350. Small bowl - flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Large bowl - beat butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
Add eggs 1 at a time. Beat well.
Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Stir in morsels and oats. Makes cookies, which takes 9-10 minutes, or brownies in a greased 9x13 pan, which takes 25-30 minutes and . Enjoy!
