Jonathan's birthday!

Today just so happens to be another Mieczkowski birthday... Jonathan turned 23 today!


23 fun and interesting facts about Jon:

1. Was the webmaster of this blog for 5 years until I, Lydia, took it over this past year
2. Hates to miss gatherings of family and friends
3. Is a legislative aide for State Representative Tom McMillin
4. He loved Angel, our family's first dog (except when he had to clean up her messes)
5. Received the 2012 Frank M. Fitzgerald Public Service Award
6. His first car was a Beretta
7. Loved reenactments when he was younger
8. Favorite food is anything with meat :)
9. When he was in a tree, he dropped a tomahawk on Caleb's head by accident (this was years ago)
10. Is a true people person and networker
11. He interned in Lansing from 2011-2012
12. Began taking violin lessons with Dad when he was 5 years old
13. He is the only Mieczkowski kid that has had driver's training from someone other than Dad
14. Is the leader of the bunch :)
15. Worked with Dad in Heritage Building Services before interning in Lansing
16. Hates peas
17. Loves coming home and riding on the quad :)
18. Is half Mom's age until next year
19. Learned how to play viola when he was 15
20. Received the John Quincy Adams award at the SSI Banquet in 2012
21. When Mom turned 30, he gave her 30 pennies, saying, "For all the years you've been my mom..."
22. Loves to play foosball and ping-pong
23. His favorite verse is Romans 8:28 - "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

Jon, you are such a blessing to our family and we are so thankful that God gave you to us!

  1. I remember #9 very well!! Very scary at the time, but everything worked out in the end!! Happy Birthday Jonathan and thanks for being the one who made me a "great" aunt which is only appropriate since your Dad made me an aunt!!! <3
