At the Ark Encounter!

The next day, we headed over to the Ark Encounter!

The Captain's Quarters

The loft where the girls slept

Grandma had very careful instructions for breakfast :)

It was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa M with us!

The line for tickets
Thankfully, we had gotten our tickets at the Creation Museum.

The Ark is HUGE!

It was PACKED! I think there were over 2,000 just in line when we were there!
We stood for an hour and a half in line before actually getting on the Ark.

We were out of the line at last!

A miniature replica of the Ark

Buk by "The Door"

This display had many books that could lead to a false understanding
of the Ark - i.e., giraffes poking their heads out of the stuffed Ark
We have had some of these :/

Possible scenario of work going on in the Ark

We were exhausted after 2 levels!

We ate at the restaurant nearby called "Emzara's Kitchen"

EXHAUSTED from all of the walking :)

One of my favorite exhibits was the Living Quarters.

Possible scenes of life on the Ark

Caleb was so tired that he fell asleep :)

These trees went up for 7 stories!

The next day after church, we went out to lunch at Steak 'N Shake!

We stopped by Ben and Christin Michalek's house on the way home

Cutie Emma

If you have never been to the Ark Encounter, we would highly encourage you to go!

  1. We would love to visit it someday. Its on the bucket list. Mr Ham was at the Bible Bee this year and spoke there. Such a great picture of God's judgement, and mercy.
